I always believe that how teacher plan and instruct course influence students' learning. I, as a teacher educator, always think that I am the one of those people who should take responsibility to effectively prepare quality physical education teachers. My instructional goals, as a PE teacher educator, is to help PE teacher candidates develop a) adequate knowledge necessary for teaching quality PE, b) the ability to effectively apply knowledge into teaching, c) confidence in their ability to teach quality physical education, and d) a deep understanding of teaching and learning in PE. I always believe that these goals cannot be achieved in classroom setting. Students need to actively experience the concepts that I teach and have enough time to apply the concept. I also believe that repetition is critical for learning. Even if we has a good understanding of a concept, we tend to forget what we learn. Thus, I believe teachers need to revisit the concept taught and try to connect the concepts to new concepts. These my beliefs are embedded into my course preparation and teaching.
